These trends are reinforced by wider demographic pressures, with the borough's population expected to rise to 381,188 by 2030, and the number of residents aged 75+ forecasted to increase by 56% by 2045. The financial implications of this trajectory are amplified by the borough's exceptionally high levels of income deprivation among older adults--61.5% live in income deprivation, the highest proportion in England, driving significantly higher reliance on council funded care.
