## Summary

The British Council is seeking a supplier for end-user computing and on-site IT support across its UK headquarters and offices. The work includes hands-on and desk-side support, plus infrastructure support when issues cannot be resolved remotely by its Global Service Desk or Central Infrastructure Team. The estate is primarily based in Stratford, with a physical support presence in Manchester. Support for Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Coventry is primarily remote, with site visits when required. This is a UK-wide IT support services requirement, intended to complement the British Council’s in-house Digital and Technology team.

The British Council invited offers through an open procedure. The requirement is divided into one lot. The tender set a deadline for enquiries of 21 October 2026 at 14:00 UK time and a bid submission deadline of 2 November 2026 at 14:00 UK time; the planned award decision date was 25 November 2026. The contract period runs from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2030, with up to four possible annual extensions, to a maximum end date of 31 March 2034. The estimated value is £1,233,333 excluding VAT (£1,540,000 including VAT). Evaluation allocates 60% to social value, quality and methodology, and 40% to price. ## Notice

The requirements and scope of this tender include the British Council's UK headquarters and all UK-based offices. The supplier shall provide End User Computing (EUC) and on-site IT support services for the British Council's UK estate, primarily residing at Stratford, with a physical presence in Manchester and primarily remote support for Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Coventry site, with occasional site visits as required. Complementing the British Council Digital and Technology team (D&T), the supplier will deliver hands-on, desk-side, and infrastructure support where remote resolution is not feasible by either our Global Service Desk (GSD) or Central Infrastructure Team (CIT). The Contract awarded will be for a duration 3 years with an option for extensions of up to 4 additional annual extensions. As a first step, interested suppliers are required to complete and sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and Annex 2, the Procurement-Specific Questionnaire. Upon receipt of the completed and signed documents, the British Council will provide access to the full tender pack and all relevant supporting documentation.
