A diverse workforce, representative of the communities they patrol, engage and support through the patrols is important. To deploy marshals to identify vulnerable individuals and ensure that they are kept safe To deploy marshals to prevent serious violence with early intervention and the removal of threat (as set out in 1.2.2 Vulnerability reduction and early interaction) To deploy marshals for patrols in high harm areas as directed by Sussex Police; predominantly the nighttime economy area of Brighton. To report low level public order incidents to Sussex Police, gather information and intelligence on criminal activity (as set out in 1.2.3 Crime reduction and incident/intel reporting) To provide the required training to the marshals (as set out in 1.2.4 Training) To provide the required uniform and equipment to the marshals.
