The systems will be used within Food Centre Wales' Innovation and Manufacturing Hub to support food and beverage product development, process optimisation, ingredient recovery, concentration, membrane screening and scale-up trials. The equipment must provide flexible membrane filtration capability suitable for pilot-scale and laboratory-scale research and development activities, with the pilot plants capable of accommodating a range of membrane types and operating conditions relevant to food and beverage processing. The contract includes equipment supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, operator training, warranty support and the provision of all associated documentation required to place the equipment into full operational service. The proposed solution must comply with all relevant UK legislation, food hygiene and food-contact requirements, safety requirements and industry standards applicable to food processing equipment.
