        "description": "The Strategic Investment Fund (SIF) supports interventions across a broad range of policy areas including business development, research and development, innovation, skills, infrastructure, and housing interventions. This supports the LCR's economic growth ambitions, as set out in the LCR Growth Plan and Investment Strategy. Since government funding tended to be allocated to distinct programmes with different themes and at different times, SIF has acted as a platform to assemble, invest and manage these distinct programmes.
