The forum represents families and works alongside local authorities, education, health and other services. Its role is to bring families’ lived experience into service planning, commissioning, delivery and monitoring, and to support services to work with families in co-production. The intended purpose is to help ensure services meet families’ needs and improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. The service would be delivered in Wiltshire. This is an opportunity to contribute market knowledge and prepare for a possible later procurement, rather than to submit a tender now. No particular accreditation, minimum capacity or formal experience threshold is set out yet. ## Notice Parent Carer Forums are representative groups of parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities who work alongside local authorities, education, health and other services to help ensure that planned, commissioned, delivered and monitored services meet the needs of families (SEND Code of Practice 2015, para. 1.13). The forum gathers lived-experience and works in partnership with local services and supports effective co-production to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
