Products include speculums, pessaries in several shapes and materials, cervical ripening balloons and cervical biopsy punches. Supply will be predominantly through the National Distribution Site, with deliveries serving NHS health boards and related organisations across Scotland. The opportunity is divided into 12 product lots, so manufacturers and distributors can focus on the product lines they supply. The framework is intended for use by a wide range of Scotland’s public health organisations and hospices. The buyer invited offers through an open procedure for a multi-supplier framework. The tender deadline was 16 November 2026 at 10:00 UTC. The framework is planned to run for four years, with no renewal. The estimated overall value is £3.5 million, based on historical distribution-site spend; the buyer states there is no guarantee that anticipated spend will be achieved. Individual annual estimates are given for each lot, ranging from £4,752 for pessary incontinence dishes to £270,444 for dual cervical ripening balloons with stylet. Offers will be assessed mainly on price, with service and sustainability also contributing, so bidders should be able to demonstrate credible service delivery and sustainable supply arrangements.
