The work covers planned preventative maintenance, statutory inspections, servicing, testing and certification, as well as reactive repairs, emergency response and minor works. Systems must remain safe, operational and compliant with statutory duties, relevant British Standards, industry practice and manufacturers’ recommendations. The requirement includes fire alarms and other alarm systems, alongside associated installation work. The contractor will work across properties owned, occupied or managed by the council, rather than at a single named site. The council invited offers through an open procedure. The enquiry deadline was 26 October 2026 at 12:00, and the submission deadline was 2 November 2026 at 12:00. The proposed contract period runs from 14 December 2026 to 13 December 2029, with an option to extend for up to three further years, to 13 December 2032, subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability. The contract also rewards proposals addressing innovation, social value and sustainability, although these factors carry less evaluation weight than cost. ## Notice Scope of Contract: Fire Safety and Security Systems Maintenance The proposed contract is for the planned preventative maintenance, statutory inspection, servicing, testing, certification, reactive repair, emergency response and minor works associated with Fire Safety and Security Systems installed throughout the property estate owned, occupied or managed by Test Valley Borough Council. The contract term will be three (3) years, with the option to extend for up to an additional three (3) further years, subject to satisfactory performance and budget availability.
