## Summary

Cantium Business Solutions Limited is seeking one or more preferred suppliers to provide a Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution for its own use and for its customers. The requirement covers end-user hardware together with associated services, including hardware installation, consultancy and support with hardware selection. Cantium is a local authority trading company within the Global Commercial Services Group, ultimately owned by Kent County Council. The devices and related services are intended for use by Cantium and its customers across the United Kingdom.

The buyer invited offers through an open procedure. The single-lot procurement was estimated at approximately £16 million including VAT across the full possible term; the agreement itself is described as zero-value, with sales based on best value for customers. The initial contract period runs from 20 June 2027 to 19 June 2030, with up to two 12-month extensions, giving a possible end date of 19 June 2032. Enquiries were due by 21 October 2026 at 23:59 BST, and bids by 3 November 2026 at 17:00 UTC. The award decision was scheduled by 11 November 2026 at 23:59 UTC. Evaluation is entirely quality-based: mandatory non-technical requirements count for 20%, general requirements 30%, value-added services 30%, and key performance indicators 20%.

This opportunity suits suppliers able to provide and manage hardware as a service, rather than simply sell devices. Relevant strengths include selecting appropriate hardware, supplying equipment, installation and associated consultancy, alongside value-added services and the ability to meet performance indicators. Suppliers should be prepared to address mandatory non-technical and general requirements, since these account for half of the quality assessment; the remaining assessment focuses on added services and performance. The requirement serves both Cantium and its public-sector and other customers across the UK, so bidders should be equipped to support a broad customer base and deliver a continuing service over a multi-year agreement.
