The scope of the Heritage Luminaire Manufacturer is to produce a custom lighting fixture for the public spaces within the Barbican Centre, namely: - Main Foyers Level B1, 0 and 1 - Lakeside/ Main Foyer canopy (external) - Art Gallery Foyer, Conservatory Terrace and Garden Room - Art Gallery/ Sculpture Court canopy (external) The luminaires shall incorporate a modular and adaptable design suitable for installation within single-, double-, and triple-height spaces. The appointment will be procured through a two-stage tender process, with the overall tendering and prototype development programme anticipated to be completed over a period of approximately one year. The appointed manufacturer shall be required to collaborate closely with the existing project team, including Allies and Morrison, Asif Khan Studio, Buro Happold, Gardiner & Theobald, Blue Sky Building, les eclaireurs, Alan Baxter, and others to ensure the successful coordination, development, and delivery of the bespoke lighting fixture. During the installation phase, the CM will assume responsibility for the coordination and management of all trade contractors on site, overall site logistics, and the integration of individual package programmes into a coherent and deliverable whole.
