## Summary

Defence Equipment and Support is seeking repairs to military vehicle axles, transmissions and associated assemblies for the UK Ministry of Defence, with Babcock Land Defence Limited acting as its agent. The work is split into three lots: Land Rover and RWMIK vehicles; Cougar and Jackal transmissions; and Pinzgauer vehicles. The requirement covers 27 listed National Stock Numbers across these vehicle groups. The buyer may add similar items during the framework’s lifetime through requests for quotations. The services are for delivery in the United Kingdom. This is specialist repair and maintenance work on military vehicles and their transmissions (CPV 50116400 and 50630000).

The buyer invited offers through a two-stage competitive flexible procedure: suppliers first completed a Procurement Specific Questionnaire, and shortlisted suppliers were invited to tender. The process reached the tender stage. Questions were due by 3 November 2026 at 16:00; expressions of interest were due by 10 November 2026 at 16:00. The stated contract period is 30 December 2026 to 31 December 2031, with up to two additional one-year options, reviewed incrementally and subject to requirements and supplier performance. The estimated framework value is £4,648,000 excluding VAT (£5,577,600 including VAT), divided into Lot 1 at £2,000,000, Lot 2 at £1,148,000 and Lot 3 at £1,500,000, all excluding VAT. Each lot is assessed on technical quality (50%), price (40%) and social value (10%).

This opportunity suits firms with proven capability to repair axles, transmissions and associated assemblies for military vehicles, including the Land Rover, RWMIK, Cougar, Jackal or Pinzgauer platforms relevant to the lot they pursue. Suppliers must hold and maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification, or equivalent quality accreditation covering the work. Technical assessment covers specifications, repair processes and provision of original equipment manufacturer parts, assembly testing and final inspection, turnaround times and schedule adherence, and obsolescence management. The framework also rewards practical contributions to resilient and diverse supply chains, environmental benefits such as progress towards net zero and use of clean energy or green technologies, and employment and training for people facing barriers to work or in skills-shortage sectors. SMEs are expressly suitable for each lot. Firms should be able to demonstrate reliable repair quality and delivery performance; the framework includes performance indicators and remedies for poor performance. No business is guaranteed under the framework.
