The kits must be in a test format approved by the European Commission under Regulation (EC) 999/2001. The supplier must also provide and deliver the equipment needed to carry out the tests, maintain it throughout the contract and provide technical support for both the testing method and equipment. Technical capability is a participation criterion, and bidders must pass the specification compliance and technical documentation checks before their quality and price submissions are scored. ## Notice The Agri-food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) requires a Supplier to supply and deliver Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy (TSE) rapid test kits that are of a test format currently approved by the European Commission in accordance with Regulation (EC) 999/2001 for the prevention, control and eradication of certain transmissible spongiform encephalopathies.
