The requirement includes a dedicated, bespoke web-based service to host, store, present and retrieve measured data, alongside hydrometry supplies, services and training. The work combines environmental measurement with web hosting, software and internet services. Delivery is across the United Kingdom. Construction and Procurement Delivery’s Supplies and Services Division is managing the procurement on the department’s behalf. This is at the planning stage: the department is conducting preliminary market engagement before deciding whether to proceed with a competitive procurement. It is seeking to gauge supplier interest and assess the potential for future contracts and their estimated value; the engagement does not guarantee a competition. Suppliers interested in contributing were asked to complete a questionnaire through eTendersNI, with the stated engagement deadline of 10 November 2026 at 15:00. The buyer’s expected date for a future notice is 5 April 2027. The anticipated contract period runs from 1 February 2028 to 31 January 2031, with a possible extension to 31 January 2033. The Supplier will be required provide a bespoke dedicated web-based hosting service for the storage, presentation and retrieval of measured environmental data. Prior to initiating the competitive tendering process, the Department for Infrastructure Rivers wishes to establish the level of market interest in participating in the competitive tendering process. This exercise is being used to determine the potential for any possible future contracts and their estimated value.
