## Summary

The procurement process is led by Velindre NHS Trust, serving as a central purchasing body for NHS Wales, with the project titled "Critical Care Clinical Information System [CCCIS]". This initiative falls within the healthcare industry and is located across various NHS sites in Wales. The procurement method used is a selective procedure, and the stage of procurement is complete, with key dates indicating the contract was signed on 11th September 2020, and the award notice dated 29th October 2021. The total contract value stands at £15,300,000.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses in the healthcare technology sector, especially those specialising in clinical information systems. Providers with capabilities in integrating electronic systems within critical care settings, as well as those offering infrastructure hardware and system integration services, would be particularly well-suited to compete. This contract is expected to contribute to significant improvements in patient care through the standardisation of data capture and integration with existing hospital systems.

## Notice

The aim of the Critical Care Clinical Information System [CCCIS] is to deliver a Clinical Information System (CIS) across all general adult Critical Care Units in NHS Wales. The Critical Care Clinical Information System (CCCIS) will achieve full transition from a paper based legacy solution to an electronic system for all Critical Care Units in Wales. The computerised bedside system will also automatically pull and collate data from medical devices such as monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps and other equipment to populate a complete critical care record. The system links with other hospital systems such as drawing patient demographics from Patient Administration Systems and pathology results from the Welsh Clinical Portal.
