## Summary

The Cardiff Council is seeking a single concessionaire for the "Provision, operation and maintenance of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure for general public use" within the Cardiff Capital Region, focusing on the installation of both 7kW and 22kW EV chargepoints across various public parking locations. The procurement, which falls under the services category and has an estimated value of £10,187,064, is currently in the Award stage, following an extensive tendering process. Key dates include the contract signing on 10th February 2022, and deliverables must be operational and registered by 11th September 2022. The procurement was conducted via an award procedure with prior publication of a call for competition.

This opportunity presents significant potential for businesses specialising in electric vehicle infrastructure, including providers of charging equipment, installation services, and ongoing maintenance. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) with expertise in EV solutions, as well as larger firms looking to expand into the growing market of sustainable transport solutions, would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. The engagement from the market indicates substantial interest, and successful bidders can anticipate a long-term relationship with the Cardiff Council, with the possibility of further expansion into additional phases of development.
