## Summary

The Concession Contract for the Operation of Household Recycling Centres has been awarded by Conwy County Borough Council and Denbighshire County Council in the UK under an open procurement method. This contract, valued at £9,688,581, involves the provision of Household Recycling Centre Services and is located within the administrative areas of Conwy and Denbighshire. The award was signed on 17th December 2021, following a competitive tender process that attracted two bids, both from foreign entities. The contract is designed to potentially accommodate new contracting authorities during its term, subject to specified conditions.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the waste management and recycling sectors. Companies that specialise in environmental services, particularly those experienced in operating recycling facilities or providing related logistics, would be well-suited to compete for and participate in this concession. Additionally, the focus on community benefits and social value within the contract indicates a preference for suppliers that can contribute positively to local economic and environmental goals.
