## Summary

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) in Ross-on-Wye is currently engaged in a tender process for the "Natur am Byth: Native Oyster Project" focusing on the Llŷn & Ynys Môn and Pembrokeshire regions. This initiative is part of a significant partnership involving nine environmental NGOs aimed at conserving native oyster species and enhancing marine ecosystems. The tender is classified under the services category, and the deadline for submissions was on 4th October 2021. The project is currently in the award stage, with contracts having been signed on 26th October 2021, and it includes valuable environmental consultancy services.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in marine conservation, ecology, and environmental consultancy. Companies with expertise in the biology and restoration techniques for native oysters, as well as experience in liaising with marine stakeholders, would be particularly well-positioned to benefit. Moreover, prospective suppliers should possess a commitment to project timelines, ensuring active involvement over the project's 17-month duration. This collaborative nature of the project offers a platform for companies to engage in impactful ecological initiatives, potentially leading to further contracts as the project progresses into its delivery phase.

## Notice

'Natur Am Byth' is a partnership between 9 environmental NGOs and NRW to develop what will be the largest nature conservation and engagement project in Wales to save our most threatened species. This will be the first time that such a large range of environmental NGOs and public sector organisations in Wales have collaborated on a species conservation project. We have secured stage one (development phase funding) through the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project will deliver for species facing the greatest threat of extinction and of particular importance to Wales through a programme of conservation management and outreach activity at both landscape and seascape scale. This is an invitation to tender (ITT) for the contract for the Native Oyster Project: Llyn & Ynys Mon and Pembrokeshire during the development phase of the Natur am Byth project.MCS, who are leading on Marine Treasures, the marine component of the Natur am Byth project, are seeking to let a contract for the Native Oyster Project, working within the two focal marine areas for Natur am Byth, Llyn & Ynys Mon and Pembrokeshire.
