## Summary

Swansea University is initiating the final evaluation for the IMPACT Operation, a significant project valued at £35 million under the ERDF Investment Priority 1. The procurement process is currently in the Award stage following the tender issued on 24th February 2022. Contractors are to submit their bids for evaluation consultancy services, with the contact point for the buyer being Kath Dunseath, available at +44 1792295873. Though the submission period is now closed, the contract related to this award was signed on 17th February 2022.

This tender presents opportunities for consultancy firms that specialise in project evaluations, particularly those with prior experience in large-scale ERDF projects. Businesses with expertise in evaluation methodologies and data analysis will be well-positioned to participate in future similar tenders. The consortium bidding option also opens doors for collaborative approaches, enhancing the potential for smaller firms to engage in such significant public contracts.

## Notice

IMPACT is an eight-year, PS35 million operation under the ERDF Investment Priority 1. IMPACT has delivered a Centre of Excellence in the form of a Research Institute, capable of initiating and driving significant additional sustainable world-leading research and the creation of world-leading academic jobs and economic growth through its strategic operation and collaboration with global, regional and local industry stakeholders and world-class academic partners. The IMPACT operation began in 2015 and has undergone an inception and mid-term evaluation in 2017 and 2020, respectively. A final evaluation of the operation is required, using the theory of change logic model developed during the mid-term evaluation, to evaluate against that model and the recent data collected. The IMPACT team at Swansea University is therefore seeking a professional company/organisation with previous demonstrable experience in conducting project evaluations on similar large projects, in particular ERDF projects.
