## Summary

Denbighshire County Council is seeking to develop a Sustainable Tourism Strategy and Five Year Action Plan for the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Wales. This tender process, classified under the services category with an open procurement method, commenced with the initiation of the tender in October 2021, last updated in January 2022. The project is expected to improve the management of increasing visitor numbers, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the tender submission period closing on 8 November 2021 and the award period concluding on 26 November 2021.

This procurement presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the tourism consultancy and management fields, including travel agencies, research consultancies, and environmental consultancy services. Companies specialising in sustainable tourism development, stakeholder engagement, or those with expertise in creating strategic plans aimed at enhancing visitor management would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Engaging with tourism authorities in such high-traffic areas could lead to further growth and visibility for participating businesses.
