Due to the closure of the school and church hall this is the only community space available in the area. The hall needs complete updating to get the maximum use of the inside space whilst being sensitive to its listed status and to high environmental and sustainability standards.The nearby car park at Craig y Ddinas receives over 50,000 visitors a year, many who come to enjoy the outdoor activities on offer of gorge walking and climbing. There are no facilities for changing or toileting resulting in issues for the community and visitors. The Hall is in the ideal location to provide these much needed facilities. The surrounding area is a SSSI and SAC so the grounds need to be developed to enhance biodiversity.
