## Summary

The procurement process detailed pertains to the award of legal services for the Pembrokeshire Demonstration Zone (PDZ) by Wave Hub Development Services, based in Hayle, Cornwall. This project falls under the services industry category and is linked to the overarching Pembroke Dock Marine programme supported by Pembrokeshire County Council. The contract was signed on 15 March 2022, following the tender stage which saw participation from five bidders. The successful supplier for this tender is Burges Salmon LLP, who will provide various legal professional services through a mix of fixed fees and hourly rate agreements until the project's funding period concludes in June 2023.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses within the legal and consultancy sector, particularly those specialising in procurement, regulatory compliance, and commercial advice. Firms that can offer expertise in public procurement rules, planning and development regulations, and contract management will be well-placed to engage in similar projects. Furthermore, businesses ready to adapt to the requirements of complex public sector contracts can potentially thrive in this evolving landscape, particularly given the strategic importance of the PDZ initiative in fostering marine energy developments.
