It is now established as a principal component of the volunteering infrastructure in Wales with County Voluntary Councils (CVCs) throughout the country contracted to use the platform to support and standardise the recruitment, management, and reporting of volunteering activity.Since 2018 we have learned from the current system, reviewed its operation and surveyed a wide range of stakeholders on their requirements. Moving forward, a mix of both traditional website and iOS/Android apps will be required.The Volunteering Wales platform is foremost a system to recruit volunteers, therefore the onboarding of volunteers must be at the heart of the development of the system. Both volunteers and organisations recruiting volunteers must have user friendly and flexible access. The Volunteering Wales platform is a system where developing stakeholders and emerging projects will be part of the growing importance of this all-Wales platformThis specification sets out in broad lines the requirements of a system to be designed exclusively for Volunteering Wales.
