## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, has completed a procurement process for the Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) services across Wales. This initiative focuses on ensuring compliant advocacy services in line with the Mental Health Act 1983 and related measures. The procurement, classified under the health services industry, was conducted through an open procedure. The contracts were awarded on 4th March 2022 to various health boards, including Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, and others. Each contract includes options to extend for an additional two years, potentially lasting until 31st March 2027.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health advocacy, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Organisations with experience in delivering mental health support services, advocacy, and compliance with legal frameworks will find suitable prospects to engage in the contracts. The collaborative nature of the health boards in Wales allows for a diverse range of bids, emphasising a focus on quality service proposals, which can open pathways for growth in this vital healthcare sector.
