## Summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is in the planning stage of a procurement process for a new backup solution. This initiative involves the acquisition of a system to support a network of 320 servers, primarily virtualised with VMware, and a data capacity of 110TB, with a 5% annual growth rate anticipated. Businesses interested in this opportunity should note that proposals are required to be submitted by 12 noon on 8th March 2022, with potential discussions regarding submissions planned for the week commencing 21st March 2022. The procurement falls under the goods category, with delivery expected in the UKL23 region.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in IT solutions, particularly those that offer backup systems and data management services. Companies that can provide innovative approaches to the required 3-2-1 backup rule and demonstrate capabilities in managing large data environments, including Office 365 integrations, will be highly competitive. Additionally, firms interested in offering managed services may find this tender aligns well with their service offerings, facilitating growth in this sector.
