## Notice

HCC wishes to evaluate key elements of sustainability on farms that are part of their Hill Ram scheme including an audit of greenhouse gas emissions and a wider environmental audit that includes biodiversity.The project will involve the following;* Working with a selection (between 15-20) of the Hill ram Scheme (HRS) farmers* Using tried and tested audit methods, set baselines for environmental footprints including biodiversity and carbon of the hill farms involved in the HRS* Use the results of the audit to make recommendations of improvements to the environmental impact including biodiversity and carbon footprints.* Use the results to highlight the positive environmental impacts of grazed sheep systems in the hills and uplands* Encouraging 'buy in' of these audits from the participating farms and report to farmers their farm baselines and recommendations.This project activity will run until the end of January 2023.
