## Summary

Swansea University is currently conducting a tender for the procurement of a Transient Absorption Spectroscopy - Optical Parametric Amplifier System (TAS-OPA) as part of its new flagship Centre for Integrative Semiconductor Materials. This procurement falls under the goods category and is taking place in Swansea, Wales. The tender period ends on 13 May 2022, with the award period concluding on 27 May 2022. Interested suppliers should note that the procurement is being facilitated through eTenderwales, and all submissions must comply with the outlined eligibility criteria specified in the tender documents.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in the supply of laboratory, optical, and precision equipment, particularly those with expertise in spectroscopy devices. Companies with capabilities in providing installation services, end-user training, and ongoing technical support for high-tech instrumentation would be well-positioned to compete. Additionally, as the project is partly funded by Welsh government resources, there may be potential advantages for local suppliers and consortia wishing to collaborate on this innovative project aimed at enhancing semiconductor research capabilities in Wales.
