## Summary

The City & County of Swansea is initiating a procurement process regarding the management of the Tir John Closed Landfill Site, with a plan to commence the contract around 2024. This process is currently in the planning stage, and the Council is seeking to understand the best market approach for this contract. Interested parties are invited to submit their responses by 27th May 2022, detailing their capabilities and suggestions for management options. The procurement method is classified as tendering for services, specifically focused on environmental management, with the civic centre in Swansea, UK, set as the delivery location.

This upcoming tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in environmental services, waste management, and sustainability solutions. Companies that provide landfill management, environmental monitoring, and gas management services would be particularly well-suited to compete. The Council is open to various contract models and lengths, making this an intriguing possibility for organisations that wish to contribute to the effective management of landfill resources while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
