## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, located in Cardiff, is conducting a procurement process for the "Inspection, Testing and Servicing of Decontamination Equipment" on behalf of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The procurement is at the award stage, with the contract set for an initial three-month duration, with an option to extend for an additional three months. This arrangement stems from an earlier tender exercise that closed on 4th March 2022, which identified gaps necessitating a retender. The total contract value is £250,000, and the award decision will be notified by 30th May 2022, with potential contract signing as early as 31st May 2022.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the healthcare services industry, particularly those specialising in the maintenance and servicing of medical equipment. Companies that are ISO 9001:2015 UKAS accredited and can supply genuine manufacturer parts are particularly well-suited to compete. This is an ideal opportunity for medium to large-sized firms that can demonstrate relevant experience and compliance with health and safety standards, as they can leverage their capabilities to secure longer-term contracts within the NHS framework.
