## Summary

The procurement process initiated by Digital Health and Care Wales focuses on securing Data Centre Capacity for NHS Wales' IT Systems, with a total contract value of £7,058,333. The procurement is currently at the Tender stage, with the deadline for submissions set for 13th September 2022. This project is located in Wales and falls within the health industry category. Interested suppliers must submit their proposals electronically, using the eTenderWales system, and the awarded Framework Agreement will last for four years, including options for renewal.

This opportunity is particularly suitable for businesses specialising in IT infrastructure and services, especially those with experience in data centre operations and transitional services. Companies offering co-location solutions for IT systems, as well as those capable of supporting public sector organisations, will find this tender provides significant growth potential. The agreement allows for other public sector entities to procure services through this framework, increasing the scope for successful suppliers to expand their client base within the Welsh public sector.

## Notice

Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) designs, develops, and supports, both clinical and non-clinical, digital health care systems for NHS Wales Health Boards and Trusts. These span across primary and secondary care settings, helping staff to work safely and efficiently. The on-premise infrastructure that supports the NHS Wales' National Services, that is managed by DHCW is mainly housed in two data centres, one at Church Village (Data Centre 1) and one at Newport (Data Centre 2). The Authority is seeking to procure (via a sole supplier Framework Agreement) a replacement Data Centre 2 co-location capacity in Wales, with the required rack footprint along with transition services to assist with moving equipment from the current to the new location. The Framework Agreement also includes the ability for other Public Sector organisations in Wales to be able to call off additional rack footprints and transition services via their own 'call off' orders with the successful supplier over the duration of the Framework Agreement.
