However, the purpose of the plan is much more than a technical requirement to acquire funding. It is a strategic plan that will underpin the interpretation strategy on the organisation for the foreseeable future.The development of a central interpretation plan will ensure that there is a coordinated, coherent and consistent approach to interpretation running through our project and the wider activities of the organisation, and enable us to develop a distinctive identity and strong sense of place rooted in the local heritage landscape.
