## Summary

The North Wales Construction Framework (NWCF3) is a planned procurement initiative led by Denbighshire County Council in collaboration with five other North Wales authorities. The framework aims to procure regional construction projects over the threshold of 250,000 GBP. It will be available for use by various public sector agencies by June 2024 for a duration of four years. The initiative focuses on improving regional construction procurement practices, driving community benefits, and enhancing collaboration and transparency through technology, process improvements, and SME engagement.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for firms in the construction sector, particularly those based in North Wales and neighbouring regions. Companies with expertise in construction projects falling within value bands ranging from 250,000 GBP to over 15 million GBP are well-suited to compete. The framework's emphasis on engagement, upskilling of the supply chain, and driving efficiencies through fairness and transparency makes it an attractive prospect for firms looking to expand their presence in the public construction sector.

## Notice

Following the success of the North Wales Construction Framework 2 (NWCF2) and the benefits in procurement time, cost and value added provided by it, the six North Wales Authorities wish to continue to have a collaborative Framework to procure regional construction projects. It is proposed to renew the current Framework and extend its scope to cater for every construction project over 250K GBP threshold and to incorporate the lessons learned from the current iteration. It is proposed that the framework will be set up by the six NW local authorities and available to be used by other public sector agencies (Higher Education, Police Authority, Housing Association and Fire and Rescue Services) by June 2024 and be in place for four years (with a break clause to review after 2 years). Important! See note in Additional Information regarding ENGAGEMENT EVENTS.
