## Summary

The Legal, Democratic and Business Intelligence department of Swansea Council has completed an award of the Framework Agreement for General Building Works up to £350,000. The Council intends to work with 15 contractors and has a further 5 on reserve. This procurement opportunity is ideal for businesses in the construction industry, specifically those involved in general building works. The tender process has been finalised with a signed contract on 30th January 2024. The procurement method employed was the Open procedure.

Participating in this tender can open avenues for growth for small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction sector, as the Framework Agreement covers various building works within Swansea. Businesses in associated fields, such as electrical contractors approved by NICEIC or members of the ECA, would find this opportunity suitable for their expertise. The procurement method used allows for fair participation and equal opportunities for businesses wishing to engage in public procurement processes.
