Interested companies can explore potential collaborations with the Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council to enhance their portfolio and expand their market presence through this contract. ## Notice Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council (BGCBC) are seeking tenders from a professional and reputable company to undertake a Grass Cutting Service for Public Parks, Sports-fields, Play Areas, Open Spaces and Cemeteries within the borough.The Grounds Maintenance section manages the grass cutting operations of Public Parks, Sports-fields, Play Areas, Open Spaces and Cemeteries within the County Borough. The Council currently cuts grass seasonally at the above-mentioned sites between the months of April and October following an agreed scheduled cutting cycle.The operational procedure for the open space areas is that Council employed compact tractor drivers work independently cutting large areas, with manual crews following behind cutting the areas that are inaccessible to the tractors i.e. banking's, obstacles and fence lines etc. using strimmers, pedestrian mowers and blowers.Additionally, to support biodiversity initiatives within the borough, areas have been identified for only an annual cut. These areas have been identified on the open spaces schedule maps as a red hatched area.
