## Notice

The Council has secured support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for a development phase to integrate Monmouth Museum's collections, including the internationally significant Admiral Lord Nelson collection, into the historic Shire Hall, Monmouth to develop an enhanced cultural destination, creating a sustainable museum offer with new galleries, learning and community spaces and related uses to engage and welcome wider audiences. The opportunity is to reconfigure the existing external and internal spaces to reinterpret and display the museum collections to tell the town's stories, including the role Shire Hall played in this history through notable events such as the Chartist uprising and the history of local and national democracy. The museum move also provides an opportunity to explore better the life and passions of Lady Llangattock whose own gift, forms the basis of an internationally significant yet relatively unknown and unpublished collection relating to Admiral Lord Nelson. Enhanced displays could also tell of the life and innovations of another Monmouth notable, the Rolls family and the engineering and aviation pioneer Charles Stewart Rolls.NOTE: To register your interest in this notice and obtain any additional information please visit the Sell2Wales Web Site at https://www.sell2wales.gov.wales/Search/Search_Switch.aspx?ID=138170.
