The Programme also recognises a role for non-capital interventions to improve connectivity, particularly in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs)to understand options for improving their connectivity.To achieve the objective of promoting the adoption of new connectivity technologies to SMEs, Ambition North Wales intends to procure a service to engage with businesses to investigate such options. The service will provide guidance on the how adoption may create benefits for the businesses and the implications and requirements the businesses may need to consider in deciding whether to pursue investment.A wide range of digital connectivity technologies are to be included in the scope of the options to be investigated for each business, however it is expected that there will be a focus on wireless technologies such as 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi and low power wireless access networks, such as LoRaWAN. The applications for these technologies are diverse and will vary between businesses and industries. It is expected that areas of particular interest will include.* Internet of Things and Machine to Machine (M2M) communication* Remote monitoring and sensing applications* Automation* Connectivity for personnelThe service will involve personnel delivering expert guidance to individual businesses in the counties of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd, and Ynys Mon.
