## Summary

Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is responsible for the "DISABLED ADAPTATIONS AND REPAIRS FRAMEWORK (DARF)" project, which aims to cater to the growing demand for disabled adaptations among the ageing population. The council, located in Pontypridd, UKL15, will manage this framework from 1st November 2024 to 31st October 2027 with an option to extend for one additional year, potentially concluding in 2028. The procurement stage has progressed to the award phase as of 28th November 2024. The project, which involves significant investment in mandatory Disabled Facilities Grants and other discretionary housing grants, covers various lots including general building work, plumbing, stair lifts, and minor adaptations, with key projects valued between £50 and £25k or more. The framework operates under an open procurement method.

This tender provides substantial business growth opportunities, especially for SMEs in the construction, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance industries. The comprehensive work packages, ranging from minor to major adaptations, offer substantial job volumes and steady project flows over the contract term. Contractors engaged in general building, specialist plumbing, lift installations, and minor home modifications will find ample opportunities to expand their portfolios and increase revenue. The framework's open procedure ensures a competitive yet transparent selection process, ideal for businesses aiming to establish or strengthen their presence within the public sector renovation and adaptation market.
