## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership has completed a procurement process for the purchase of a Power Tools Maintenance Service. De Soutter Medical has been awarded a contract worth GBP 109,444.5 to provide maintenance for power tools purchased by the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The contract involves maintaining 10 sets of power tools for University Hospital Wales and 24 sets for University Hospital Llandough. The procurement method was a direct award without prior competition, as De Soutter is the only provider capable of maintaining these specific power tools.

This tender presents business growth opportunities for companies specializing in the maintenance of power tools within the health industry. Businesses with expertise in servicing technical equipment and a proven track record in delivering high-quality maintenance services are well-suited to compete for similar contracts in the healthcare sector. The direct award approach taken in this tender highlights the importance of establishing strong partnerships and expertise in niche service areas to secure contracts with public sector organisations like the NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership.
