## Summary

The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is leading a procurement process for the "Natur am Byth Môr: Water Quality Project for Pembrokeshire," focusing on marine research services. The initiative aims to enhance water quality in Pembrokeshire and involves managing a large citizen science project. The tender, open since 12th July 2024, invites experienced contractors to apply by 9th August 2024. Works are scheduled from August 2024 to May 2025. The MCS, based in Ross on Wye, has contracted the West Wales Rivers Trust to collect and analyse water quality data in selected Pembrokeshire locations. This project is currently in the award stage as of 23rd August 2024.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in environmental research, citizen science, and data analysis. Ideal candidates will have experience with volunteer management, data presentation, and stakeholder collaboration, including proficiency in Welsh. The structured approach, supported by comprehensive methodologies and tools provided by MCS, facilitates smaller research firms and consortia to participate competitively. Successful participation in this project can enhance a company's portfolio, demonstrating expertise in executing substantial environmental initiatives and fulfilling stringent procurement and partnership requirements, potentially leading to more large-scale opportunities in the public sector.
