## Summary

Powys County Council is re-opening the Social Care Training Framework for providing Social Care training courses for Adults and Children's Services. The tender process initiated on 14 August 2024 and is currently in the award stage. This competitive procurement, focused on general public services within the services category, is specifically targeted at the UKL24 region. The framework agreement spans four years, from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2027, with each contract year renewed annually in line with Welsh Government’s grant funding allocation process. The procurement follows the Open Procedure under the Light Touch Regime in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Key dates include the final submission deadline occurring on 13 September 2024, with intended contract start dates on 1 April 2025.

This tender presents a promising opportunity for businesses specialising in social care training to join an established framework, promoting consistent annual growth opportunities. It is particularly well-suited for training providers who can meet the high demand for specialised social care education within adult and children services. The framework ensures a transparent and equitable selection process, enabling new suppliers to secure annual funding alignments and significant lead times for course commissioning. Businesses with expertise in social services and a capacity for flexible engagement with public sector frameworks stand to benefit greatly from this tender, potentially expanding their regional influence and service offerings.
