## Summary

The City & County of Swansea is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process for a Contractor Awareness Event, targeting the construction industry. This event is intended for SMEs and construction contractors who engage with Swansea Council for construction work. Scheduled to be held in one of the community centres in Swansea, the event aims to provide free advice and guidance on the procurement process and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Interested participants need to email Nasir Shahzad by 19th November 2024 to confirm attendance. The project primarily falls under the general public services category and is expected to facilitate discussions about the procurement stages and improve bid quality.

This tender offers significant opportunities for local businesses, particularly SMEs and construction contractors, to enhance their understanding of the procurement processes and improve their competitive bid submissions. It is well-suited for companies seeking to establish or strengthen their partnership with the City & County of Swansea by gaining insights into the legal requirements and best practices in the industry. The event is an excellent platform for businesses to interact directly with procurement officials, gain valuable feedback, and potentially secure future construction contracts in various locations across Swansea. This proactive engagement could be pivotal in business growth and establishing a robust presence in the public procurement sector.
