## Summary

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is inviting tenders for the provision of childcare services under the Flying Start Scheme in Colcot, Barry. This initiative, aimed at families with children aged 0-3 years, requires high-quality childcare for 2-3-year-old children in disadvantaged communities to improve their long-term outcomes. The procurement stage is currently at the Tender phase, with an open procurement method. Interested parties must submit their electronic responses by 5th November 2024, and the award will be finalised by 26th November 2024. The procurement falls under the Health and Social Work Services industry category, specifically focusing on daycare services for children and young people.

This tender offers substantial business growth opportunities, especially for childcare providers specialising in early years education and support. Businesses that can deliver high-quality, inclusive care and demonstrate a commitment to the Council’s Net Zero Carbon initiatives will be well-placed to compete. The contract is suitable for consortia bidding, which allows multiple providers to combine their strengths and bid collectively. Companies with experience in delivering services under similar conditions, particularly within the framework of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations (TUPE), are encouraged to participate. This is a valuable opportunity for businesses looking to expand their portfolio within the public sector and contribute to a significant community initiative.
