## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership - Procurement Services, hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust, has completed the procurement process for a "Video Consultation Platform." The tender was classified under the Health industry category and implemented in Cardiff, UK. The contract was awarded on 1st November 2024 and will come into effect on 1st April 2025. The restricted procedure procurement method was used, aiming to renew and enhance the video consultation capabilities established during the Covid-19 pandemic. This service currently handles approximately 400 patient appointments weekly, significantly modernising the Health Board's service delivery.

This contract presents significant business growth opportunities, primarily for technology firms specialising in telehealth platforms. Companies like T-Pro, the successful supplier for this tender, which provide scalable and flexible telehealth solutions, would be well-suited for such contracts. The procurement aimed at ensuring high-quality (60%) and cost-effective (40%) service delivery, indicating a preference for suppliers who can balance quality with cost efficiency.
