## Summary

Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru, a public law body focused on environmental protection, has completed the procurement process for its "Trydan Community and Stakeholder Engagement Support" project. This procurement, which falls under the services category, involved an open procedure and was intended to support community and stakeholder engagement across five large-scale onshore wind energy projects in Wales. Key locations include Carmarthenshire, Denbighshire/Conwy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and Neath Port Talbot, with each area covered by distinct contract lots. The total available funding for these contracts over an initial three-year period is estimated at £990,000. The process moved from planning to tender to an award stage with contracts signed in April 2025, marking the transition to the active phase of execution.

This tender presents a notable opportunity for SMEs specialising in communications and public relations, given that the contracts required a robust understanding of community engagement and stakeholder management. SMEs like CADNO COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED, Outwrite Public Relations Ltd, and GRASSHOPPER COMMUNICATIONS LTD seized the opportunity to participate in this procurement, underscoring the attractiveness of such government contracts for further business growth. Companies equipped to provide strategic communications, local community outreach, and the management of public consultation events will find this engagement project lucrative, potentially fostering long-term partnerships and increased visibility within the renewable energy sector in Wales. The project was divided into multiple lots, allowing businesses to specialise in particular geographic regions, thus leveraging local expertise to deliver social value effectively.
