The Health Board wish to apply a modification to the original contract award to add an additional 8 years on to the current contract under the same terms and conditions to extend the contract up to 31st March 2033. The modification will enable the Health Board to undertake an equipment refresh of critical equipment that will put the Health Board services at significant risk if not replaced urgently. This modification is being made under PCR 2015 Regulation 72 (1)(b), to ensure that existing and planned replacement equipment supplied through the Managed Service Contract will provide the stability necessary to support strategic planning including the introduction of the Laboratory Information Management System.
