The cans are separately baled in preparation for collection by or delivery to a re-processor. Swansea Council operate 5 Household Waste Recycling Centres which accept all waste items predominantly containing scrap metal and car batteries. In addition a volume of high tensile springs, from stripped down bed mattresses are obtained.
