## Summary

The Police & Crime Commissioner for South Wales, acting alongside the Commissioners for Gwent Police and Dyfed Powys, has completed the procurement process for the provision of Crisis Workers in Sexual Assault Referral Centres (SARCs) within the Tri-Force area. This contract, titled "Provision of Crisis Workers in Sexual Assault Referral Centres", falls under the services category with an industry focus on public order and safety. The procurement method was limited, with the rationale of urgency due to accreditation milestones required as part of the criminal justice process. The contract has a value of £1,200,000 and was signed on 19 December 2024, with delivery to be performed across various regions in South Wales including UKL1, UKL14, UKL15, UKL16, UKL17, UKL18, UKL21, UKL22, and UKL24.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in crisis support services, particularly those with capabilities in the public health and safety sectors. SMEs with experience in supporting sexual abuse victims and providing crisis intervention would be well-suited to engage in such contracts. The involvement of the Wales Sexual Abuse Services (WSAS) programme also highlights the potential for collaborative work with health sectors and third-sector organisations. The two-year contract period offers a chance to support vital accreditation processes, positioning successful bidders as key contributors to the safety and justice services in Wales, and potentially leading to further commissioning opportunities post reorganisation.
