## Summary

The University of South Wales initiated a tender process titled "Provision of Educational Neurodiversity Assessment Services" to address the needs of neurodivergent students who often arrive at the university without a formal diagnosis. This tender, focusing on the Education sector, is particularly aimed at enhancing the student experience through consistent, high-quality assessments. Based in Pontypridd, South Wales, this open procedure tender was initially active and had set submission and awarding periods ending on 24th March 2025. However, the contract has since been marked as cancelled, ceasing further procurement activities.

This tender provided a unique opportunity for businesses in the education service provision domain, especially those specialising in neurodiversity assessments and support services. The University sought a partner that aligns with its transformational aims and values, presenting an excellent growth opportunity for businesses capable of delivering innovative and reliable educational assessments. Companies with expertise in creating supportive environments for neurodivergent individuals, aligned with social value delivery and community benefits, would find this tender a fitting opportunity to expand their footprint in the public sector. Despite its current cancellation, understanding the tender's requirements can prepare businesses for similar future opportunities.

## Notice

A sizeable proportion of USW students disclose that they consider themselves to have a disability year on year with the vast majority self-identifying as neurodivergent. However, many neurodivergent students arrive at university without ever having received a formal diagnosis. The aim of these services will be to develop and deliver a consistent high quality assessment experience for our student body and provide a tried and tested service solution that delivers the requirements.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

A sizeable proportion of USW students disclose that they consider themselves to have a disability year on year with the vast majority self-identifying as neurodivergent. However, many neurodivergent students arrive at university without ever having received a formal diagnosis. This can hinder their ability to access the full breadth of support available (e.g. Disabled Students Allowances), thereby impacting personal development, academic achievement and graduate prospects. USW seeks to address this need and the disproportionate burden it places on neurodivergent students by providing access to funded diagnostic assessment services. The University is committed to organisational and operational transformation with a view to creating high quality educational experiences for our learners. To that end we are seeking a partnership with a single service provider who aligns with our values and aspirations. The aim of this partnership will be to develop and deliver a consistent high quality assessment experience for our student body and provide a tried and tested service solution that delivers our requirements.

Renewal: 2 x 12 months
