## Summary

The contracting process for the "WEP I Cardiff and Vale College (CaVC) Project Batch: D&B Contract Selection Questionnaire (SQ)" is being undertaken by Bouygues UK, a prominent buyer in this sector. The project falls under the construction works category and is centred in the Barry Waterfront Innovation Quarter, Cardiff. The procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, with a submission deadline set for 26th June 2025. The construction is slated to begin shortly thereafter in June 2025, with completion expected in 2027. This project involves building a new campus for Cardiff and Vale College, with subcontracting opportunities available, particularly for those specialising in curtain walling and window installations. The award period for the main contract is scheduled to end on 1st September 2025.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses within the construction sector, especially those that specialise in subcontract work such as curtain walling and windows. Companies with expertise in these areas and who meet the necessary verification checks, such as Constructionline Gold certification, will find this an ideal chance to grow by contributing to a high-profile project. The nature of the mutual investment model (MIM) offers a platform for businesses to collaborate on a substantial educational infrastructure project, potentially outperforming standard procurement opportunities thanks to its developmental scope and strategic importance. Business stakeholders should exercise due diligence in preparing their submissions, with a focus on showcasing their financial stability and comprehensive insurance coverage to secure subcontracting roles.
