## Summary

The procurement process is being led by Bouygues UK, the buyer organization, for the project titled "WEP I Cardiff and Vale College (CaVC) Project Batch: D&B Contract Selection Questionnaire (SQ)." This project falls under the works category, specifically focusing on paving and asphalting services. The development is located at Barry's Waterfront Innovation Quarter. The procurement has reached both the contract and award stages, with key dates including the submission deadline of 26th June 2025 and the expected award by 1st September 2025. The construction of the new Barry Waterfront Campus, part of a £119 million project under the Mutual Investment Model, will commence in June 2025 with a planned completion in 2027. The campus will cater to around 900 students and offer various courses with public-facing facilities.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities for companies in construction, especially those specializing in tarmac surfacing and related works. Subcontractors interested should have the capability for asphalt and paving work and meet the verification requirements set by Bouygues UK, such as Constructionline Gold and necessary financial checks. Companies with expertise in educational infrastructure projects or those looking to enhance their portfolio in the public sector infrastructure domain within Wales, particularly in Cardiff and the Vale regions, will find this opportunity highly advantageous. With the substantial valuation of the tarmac surfacing package, proactive businesses can leverage this opportunity to align with a prominent contract, contributing to their strategic growth and development.
