## Summary

Social Care Wales, based in Cardiff, has awarded a contract to Oxford Brookes Enterprises Limited for a pilot programme aimed at supporting career progression for ethnic minority individuals working in the social care sector in Wales. This initiative focuses on social care services and is part of a broader effort to enhance diversity in leadership roles. The contract was officially signed on 29 July 2025, and the programme is set to commence in Autumn 2025, spanning a full calendar year. The procurement process, conducted through an open tender method, falls under the services category and encompasses research, development consultancy, social research, and training services. The previous tender stage concluded with a total of six bids, leading up to the award stage as of 29 July 2025.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in educational services, training, and consultancy, particularly those specialising in social care and diversity enhancement. Companies capable of delivering innovative training solutions, leadership development, and cultural competency frameworks will find this contract beneficial. It is an excellent prospect for organisations specialising in developing educational content, coaching programmes, and evaluation methodologies to collaborate with Social Care Wales in fulfilling this strategic initiative. The programme aims to equip ethnic minority social care workers with skills necessary for leadership roles, thus supporting overall business growth and contributing to a more inclusive workforce.
